There are shapes that nature prefers.

The circle is one of them. And in this vessel — 24 centimetres wide, 10.5 centimetres tall — white marble finds its most elemental form. No angles. No edges. Only the continuous, uninterrupted curve of stone that seems to have always existed in exactly this shape.

The veining tells its own story. Cool grey lines move across the white surface in long, unhurried strokes — diagonal, organic, unrepeatable. This particular configuration of mineral and stone exists nowhere else. It formed over millions of years, deep underground, and it surfaces now, here, in this single object.

The top edge is deliberately left raw. Rough, crystalline, broken rather than cut. It is the only moment where the hand of the craftsman steps back entirely and lets the stone speak for itself.

Wide and low, this candle holds the table the way a full moon holds the sky — quietly, completely, without effort.

When the flame burns, light filters through the thinning marble walls in warm pulses. The grey veins catch it differently at every angle. The vessel breathes.

The DS gunmetal medallion sits centred on the exterior — the only geometric precision in an otherwise entirely natural object.
